Description

Discover how to make the ultimate homemade Perfect Burger! Juicy, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection, these beef patties are grilled to your desired level of doneness and served on toasted buns with your favorite toppings. Ideal for cookouts, family dinners, or weeknight meals, this classic burger recipe ensures a delicious, mouthwatering experience every time.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80/20 mix)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

4 hamburger buns

Toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, and condiments of choice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F) and lightly oil the grill grates.
  4. Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Add a slice of cheese during the last minute of cooking if making cheeseburgers.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers with the patties, buns, and desired toppings and condiments.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid Overmixing: To keep patties juicy, mix the beef mixture gently and handle the meat as little as possible.

Indentation Trick: Pressing an indentation in the center of each patty helps them cook evenly and prevents puffing.
