Description

A refreshing and tangy summer mocktail made with raw mango pulp, spices, and crushed Pulse candies. This chilled drink delivers a nostalgic balance of sweet, sour, and slightly spicy flavors.

Ingredients

1 cup raw mango pulp

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon black salt

1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder

6 to 8 Pulse candies (kachcha aam flavor), crushed

2 cups chilled water

Ice cubes as needed

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the raw mango, then blend it until it forms a smooth pulp. Strain if needed to remove excess fibers.
  2. Crush the Pulse candies using a mortar and pestle until they become a fine powder.
  3. In a large bowl or pitcher, combine the raw mango pulp, crushed candy powder, sugar, lemon juice, black salt, roasted cumin powder, and black pepper.
  4. Mix well until the sugar dissolves completely and the ingredients are evenly combined.
  5. Pour in the chilled water and stir thoroughly to blend the flavors.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or salt if needed.
  7. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the mocktail over the ice.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices, then serve immediately while chilled.

Notes

For a fizzy variation, replace part of the chilled water with sparkling water or soda.

Add a small pinch of chaat masala for extra tangy street-style flavor.

Blend a few fresh mint leaves into the mixture for a stronger minty taste.

You can mix a small amount of ripe mango pulp with the raw mango pulp for a sweeter version.

The drink can be stored in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; stir well before serving.

Avoid storing the drink with ice already added to prevent dilution.
