Description

Enjoy these quick and easy scones made with just three ingredients: self-raising flour, heavy cream, and lemonade. Perfect for breakfast, afternoon tea, or a sweet snack, these fluffy scones are ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

4 cups self-raising flour

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup lemonade (such as Sprite or 7Up)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine self-raising flour, heavy cream, and lemonade. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently knead a few times.
  4. Roll out dough to 1-inch thickness. Cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter or glass.
  5. Place scones on the baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Cool slightly before serving with butter, jam, or cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, add mix-ins like raisins or chocolate chips.

Use a lemon-lime soda such as Sprite or 7Up for the best results.

Serve fresh, but they can also be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
