Rich and fudgy brownies swirled with creamy peanut butter and studded with crunchy, colorful Reese’s Pieces for a delightful treat.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup Reese’s Pieces (divided: 3/4 cup for batter, 1/4 cup for topping)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix until incorporated.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently stir into wet mixture just until combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold 3/4 cup Reese’s Pieces into the batter evenly.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out.
- Melt peanut butter in microwave for 20-30 seconds until soft. Drizzle over brownie layer and swirl gently with a spatula or knife.
- Pour remaining batter over peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup Reese’s Pieces on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Use creamy peanut butter for best swirl texture; peanut butter powder is not recommended.
Substitute Reese’s Pieces with M&M’s, chopped peanut butter cups, or chocolate chips if needed.
To make gluten-free, replace all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend in the same amount.
Try crunchy peanut butter or add chopped peanuts or chocolate chips for variation.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 3 days, or freeze up to 2 months.
Reheat individual brownies in microwave for 10-15 seconds for a fresh-baked feel.
