Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter-sugar mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Press about two-thirds of dough into prepared baking dish to create an even layer.
- Pour caramel sauce evenly over dough, spreading with spatula if needed.
- Crumble remaining dough evenly over caramel layer, covering as much as possible.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until top is golden brown and edges are slightly firm.
- Cool completely in baking dish on wire rack. Optionally sprinkle with sea salt flakes before cutting into bars.
