Shamrock Lucky Charms Treats are festive, no-bake marshmallow cereal bars packed with Lucky Charms and shaped like shamrocks, making them the perfect St. Patrick’s Day dessert. These gooey, colorful treats are quick and easy to make, kid-friendly, and a fun way to celebrate the holiday.
Ingredients
6 cups Lucky Charms cereal
1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Green food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan – Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly with butter.
- Melt the Butter & Marshmallows – In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until smooth and fully melted.
- Add Vanilla & Food Coloring – Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If using green food coloring, add a few drops and mix until evenly colored.
- Mix in the Cereal – Gently fold in the Lucky Charms cereal until evenly coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.
- Shape the Treats – Transfer the mixture to the prepared dish and press it down evenly with a greased spatula or wax paper.
- Cool & Cut – Let the mixture cool for about 30 minutes, then use a shamrock-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
- Serve & Store – Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Make it Extra Gooey: Add an extra cup of marshmallows and reduce the cereal slightly.
Chocolate Drizzle: Drizzle melted white or dark chocolate over the top for extra sweetness.
Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Freezing is possible for up to 1 month.
