Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 pounds potatoes (peeled and thinly sliced)

4 tablespoons melted butter (divided)

2 tablespoons minced onion

1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 large clove of garlic (pressed)

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/2 cup good quality grated Parmesan cheese (divided)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with 3 tablespoons of melted butter, minced onion, parsley, garlic powder, kosher salt, pepper, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  3. Brush a 9-inch pie plate with the remaining tablespoon of melted butter.
  4. Arrange the seasoned potato slices in the pie plate and sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the top.
  5. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until golden brown and tender. Tent with foil if necessary to prevent over-browning.
