Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 pound fettuccine or your favorite pasta

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the Alfredo sauce mixture over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. About 20 minutes before serving, cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
  6. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, slice or shred it, and return it to the slow cooker. Stir to combine with the sauce.
  7. Serve the chicken Alfredo over the cooked pasta, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.

If the sauce is too thick after cooking, stir in a bit more chicken broth or heavy cream to adjust the consistency.

Fresh garlic and high-quality Parmesan cheese will enhance the flavor of the sauce.
