Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound fettuccine or your favorite pasta
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the Alfredo sauce mixture over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- About 20 minutes before serving, cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, slice or shred it, and return it to the slow cooker. Stir to combine with the sauce.
- Serve the chicken Alfredo over the cooked pasta, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
If the sauce is too thick after cooking, stir in a bit more chicken broth or heavy cream to adjust the consistency.
Fresh garlic and high-quality Parmesan cheese will enhance the flavor of the sauce.
