Description

Crispy, cheesy, griddle-smashed beef patties meet soft taco shells in this mouthwatering fusion of classic burgers and street-style tacos. Perfect for a quick dinner or game day snack.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

6 small flour tortillas

6 slices American cheese (or cheddar)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1/4 cup finely chopped pickles

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

Shredded lettuce, for topping

Optional: sliced tomatoes, jalapeños, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and chopped pickles to make the burger sauce. Set aside.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Divide into 6 equal balls.
  3. Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place one tortilla on the griddle, then place a ball of beef on top. Smash the beef thin using a spatula or burger press.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes, then flip so the beef side is down. Top with a slice of cheese and cook another 2–3 minutes until beef is cooked through and cheese is melted.
  6. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and beef.
  7. Spread a spoonful of burger sauce on each taco, then add chopped onions, shredded lettuce, and any extra toppings you like.
  8. Fold and serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

Use different cheeses like pepper jack or Swiss for variation.

Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicier version.

Try crispy onions or bacon bits for extra crunch.

Can be made with turkey or plant-based ground meat.

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Reheat in a skillet for best texture or use a microwave for convenience.
