Description

This tangy and bold homemade steak sauce combines the perfect balance of sweetness, spice, and savory flavors. Ideal for enhancing grilled meats, burgers, and BBQ dishes, this easy-to-make sauce is a must-have condiment that elevates any meal. Enjoy the rich taste with your steak, chicken, ribs, and more!

Ingredients

1 ¼ cups ketchup

2 tablespoons yellow mustard

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 ½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar

4 drops hot sauce (such as Tabasco)

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground pepper

1 pinch cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir to blend.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cook for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  5. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

For a milder sauce, adjust the cayenne pepper and hot sauce to taste.

The sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 weeks.

For extra flavor, let the sauce sit in the fridge for a day or two to allow the flavors to develop further.
