Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups beef broth
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 cups uncooked pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked (5-7 minutes), then drain any excess fat. - Add Aromatics and Seasonings
Add onion and garlic; sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. - Simmer with Broth and Tomatoes
Pour in beef broth and stir in diced tomatoes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes to combine flavors. - Add the Pasta
Stir in uncooked pasta, ensuring it’s submerged. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more broth or water if needed. - Make It Creamy
Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. - Serve
Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan, and serve warm.
Notes
Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
Add veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
For a spicier kick, add crushed red pepper flakes.
