Ingredients
1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
1–2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional, to taste)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chia seeds
Optional toppings: sliced strawberries, coconut flakes, granola, or nuts
Instructions
- Blend the strawberries, almond milk, maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl or jar and stir in the chia seeds.
- Let it sit for 5–10 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumping.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until thickened.
- Stir before serving and top with optional toppings like sliced strawberries, coconut flakes, granola, or nuts.
Notes
You can substitute strawberries with other fruits like raspberries or mango.
For a creamier version, blend in some coconut milk or use flavored plant-based milks.
Add cocoa powder for a chocolate variation.
Store in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Use fresh chia seeds for best thickening results.
