1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, oil, vanilla extract, and sugar until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely.
