Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a delightful treat, these rolls are sure to impress with their irresistible strawberry flavor and gooey texture.

Ingredients

Dough:

1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

Filling:

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

Glaze:

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

23 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Stir in sugar, melted butter, and egg. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let rise in a greased bowl, covered, for 1 hour.
  2. Shape the Rolls: Roll out dough into a 12×18-inch rectangle. Spread with softened butter. Mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the butter. Distribute diced strawberries evenly. Roll up tightly and cut into 12 slices. Place in a greased 9×13-inch dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  3. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly.
  4. Prepare the Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries for best results. If using frozen, thaw and drain them thoroughly to avoid excess moisture.

Dough can be prepared a day in advance; refrigerate overnight and let come to room temperature before baking.
