Description

A luscious blend of tangy strawberries, zesty lime, and creamy white chocolate baked into irresistibly gooey, melt-in-your-mouth bars perfect for any sweet craving.

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Zest of 1 lime

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

3/4 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar, stirring until smooth.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, lime zest, and lime juice; mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and white chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center remains slightly gooey.
  9. Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.

Notes

Use thawed and drained frozen strawberries to avoid excess moisture.

Substitute lemon juice and zest if lime is unavailable.

For gluten-free, use a gluten-free all-purpose flour blend and monitor baking time.

Add chopped nuts like pistachios or almonds for extra crunch.

Swap strawberries with raspberries or blueberries for variation.

Reduce white chocolate chips to 1/2 cup if you prefer less sweetness.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for about a week.

Reheat bars in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to enjoy warm and gooey.
