Description

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup chopped pecans


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 9-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk to butter mixture, mixing well.
  5. Fold in pecans, then pour batter into pan.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan for 10 mins, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
