Ingredients
1 pound jalapeños, halved and deseeded (wear gloves for handling)
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Prep the Jalapeños: Wear gloves and cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise, removing the seeds and membranes.
- Make the Filling: Combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth.
- Fill the Jalapeños: Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
