2 cups semisweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Scoop 1/4 cup portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden and centers have set but are still soft. Do not overbake.
  6. Remove from oven and let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
