Description

This Turtle Lush Dessert is a rich, layered treat that combines a crunchy pecan crust, creamy layers of sweetened cream cheese, chocolate pudding, and whipped topping. It’s topped off with drizzles of caramel and chocolate sauce, along with chopped pecans. Perfect for parties, family gatherings, or any occasion, this dessert is easy to make and a show-stopping indulgence.

Ingredients

Pecan Crust:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup chopped pecans

Cream Cheese Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip)

Chocolate Pudding Layer:

2 (3.9 oz) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix

3 cups cold milk

Toppings:

1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip)

1/2 cup caramel sauce

1/2 cup chocolate sauce

1/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pecan Crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix together flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans. Press into a 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for 15 minutes. Let it cool completely.
  2. Make the Cream Cheese Layer: Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping and spread over the cooled pecan crust.
  3. Prepare Chocolate Pudding Layer: Whisk instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened. Spread pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Toppings: Spread whipped topping over the pudding layer. Drizzle with caramel sauce and chocolate sauce, and sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

Make Ahead: This dessert can be made a day in advance and chilled overnight for best results.

Crust Substitution: If you prefer, you can replace the pecan crust with a graham cracker or Oreo crust.

Customization: For added richness, use homemade caramel sauce, or add extra toppings like shaved chocolate or sea salt.
