Description

Festive and irresistibly chewy, these Valentine’s Chocolate Chip Cookies are filled with red, pink, and white M&Ms, semi-sweet and white chocolate chips—perfect for celebrating the season of love.

Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup white chocolate chips

½ cup Valentine’s-themed M&Ms (red, pink, and white)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and M&Ms.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Swap semi-sweet chips with dark chocolate for a richer flavor.

Use heart-shaped sprinkles for added festivity.

Add ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts for a nutty twist.

Use a 1:1 gluten-free flour substitute to make them gluten-free.

Press a heart-shaped candy into the center after baking for decoration.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Freeze cookies in a single layer, then transfer to a zip-top bag for up to 3 months.

Microwave frozen cookies for 10–15 seconds to reheat.
