Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 3/4 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup whole milk

For the Cream Filling:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup vegetable shortening

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 10-cup Bundt pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared Bundt pan, smooth the top, and bake for 50-55 minutes.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the cream filling, beat together butter, shortening, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until light and fluffy.
  9. Use a piping bag with a long tip to pipe the cream filling into the bottom of the cooled Bundt cake.
  10. Slice and serve!

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for the best results.

If you prefer, you can substitute the vegetable shortening in the cream filling with more butter, though this may slightly alter the texture.

The cake must be completely cooled before adding the cream filling to avoid melting the filling.
