Description

Luxuriously smooth white chocolate frosting made with melted white chocolate, butter, and cream. Perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or any dessert needing a sweet, velvety finish.

Ingredients

1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar, sifted

2 tablespoons heavy cream (more as needed)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the white chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter until creamy.
  3. Add melted white chocolate to the butter and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Add heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Beat on medium-high speed for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  6. Adjust the consistency with additional cream if needed.
  7. Use immediately or store for later use.

Notes

Makes enough to frost 12 cupcakes or a single-layer cake.

For a stiffer frosting, add extra powdered sugar.

Variations include adding zest, almond extract, or gel food coloring for customization.
