Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and pound them to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  3. Rub each chicken breast with olive oil on all sides.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over the chicken, rubbing it in to coat well.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain juices.

For additional flavor, marinate the chicken in the olive oil and seasonings for at least 30 minutes before baking.
