Ingredients

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh thyme (optional)

1 tablespoon butter (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels for a crispy skin. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken skin-side down and cook for 6-7 minutes without moving, until the skin is golden and crispy.
  3. Finish Cooking: Flip chicken thighs, reduce heat to medium, and cook for another 8-10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Add Flavor (Optional): Add butter and fresh thyme in the last 2 minutes of cooking for extra richness.
  5. Rest & Serve: Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
