Description

As the holiday season approaches, there’s nothing quite like the aroma of freshly baked cookies filling your home. These White Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies are the perfect festive treat, combining the rich creaminess of white chocolate with the refreshing crunch of peppermint. Easy to make and delicious to eat, these cookies will undoubtedly become a favorite in your holiday baking repertoire.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in the white chocolate chips and crushed candy canes.
  5. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the center remains soft.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a festive touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the cooled cookies or sprinkle additional crushed candy canes on top.

Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or freeze for longer storage.
