Description

These candied frozen sour grapes are a refreshing, sweet, and tangy snack that mimics sour candy with a fruity twist. Easy to make with no cooking required, they are perfect for hot days or quick treats.


Ingredients

4 cups cleaned green grapes

1 cup organic cane sugar

2 limes, freshly squeezed

2 to 3 teaspoons citric acid (optional)


Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Add the cleaned grapes to a bowl and pour the freshly squeezed lime juice over them. Stir until evenly coated.
  3. If desired, mix in the citric acid for extra sour flavor. Refrigerate the grapes for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the sugar in a separate bowl.
  5. Remove the grapes from the refrigerator and toss each one in the sugar until fully coated.
  6. Arrange the coated grapes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for 2 to 3 hours until fully frozen.
  8. Transfer frozen grapes to an airtight container or zip-top bag for storage and enjoy as needed.
