1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Glaze:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Make the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add warm milk, water, melted butter, and egg. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled.
- Prepare the Filling:
- Mix crushed cookies, softened butter, and sugar into a paste.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Roll dough into a 12×18-inch rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread filling evenly over the dough.
- Roll dough tightly from the long edge and cut into 12 pieces.
- Arrange rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30–45 minutes.
- Bake the Rolls:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Make the Glaze:
- Whisk cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust milk for desired consistency.
- Glaze and Serve:
