These Crab Shrimp Queso Rolls are crispy, creamy, and packed with savory seafood flavor. Tender shrimp, sweet crab meat, melted cheese, and queso are wrapped in golden tortillas for the perfect appetizer or quick meal.
Ingredients
0.5 lb cooked shrimp, finely chopped
0.5 lb cooked crab meat, shredded
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
0.5 cup cream cheese, softened
0.5 cup queso dip, mild or spicy
1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
0.5 tsp garlic powder
0.25 tsp smoked paprika
8 small flour tortillas
2 tbsp butter or oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, shredded crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, queso dip, cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly mixed.
- Place 2 to 3 tablespoons of filling in the center of each tortilla and roll tightly. Secure each roll with a toothpick.
- Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot.
- Add the tortilla rolls to the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the toothpicks and drizzle the rolls with warm queso if desired. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
Notes
Add diced jalapeños for extra heat.
Substitute pepper jack cheese for Monterey Jack for a spicier flavor.
For a lighter version, bake at 400°F for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Serve with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, or extra queso for dipping.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a skillet or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
Freeze uncooked rolls for up to 2 months and cook directly from frozen.
