Ingredients

1/2 lb ground pork 🐖

2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated 🌱

A single tablespoon soy sauce 🍶

One tablespoon oyster sauce 🐚

1 teaspoon sesame oil 🛢️

1/2 cup shredded cabbage 🥬

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions 🌱

1 package wonton wrappers (about 40) 🍚

6 cups chicken broth 🍲

2 cups baby bok choy, chopped 🥦

Salt and pepper to taste 🧂

Additional green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional) 🌱🌱

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, shredded cabbage, and chopped green onions. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling. 🍚🐖
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and add the filled wontons. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the wontons float to the top and are cooked through. 🍲🍚
  4. Add the chopped baby bok choy to the pot and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the bok choy is tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 🥦🧂
  5. Serve the wonton soup hot, garnished with additional green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy your comforting bowl of homemade Hearty Wonton Soup! 🍲🌱
