Description

This easy banana smoothie is creamy, refreshing, and naturally sweet. It comes together in just 5 minutes for a quick breakfast or healthy snack.

Ingredients

1 banana

1/2 orange, peeled and quartered

1/3 cup Greek yogurt

1/4 cup water or milk

1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)

Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop the banana and orange pieces.
  2. Add the banana, orange, Greek yogurt, and water or milk to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and add honey or maple syrup if additional sweetness is desired.
  5. Add ice cubes for a colder smoothie and blend again.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use milk instead of water for a creamier smoothie.

Add a spoonful of peanut butter for a richer flavor.

Use frozen banana for a thicker, colder smoothie.

Add spinach for a simple green smoothie.

Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and shake before serving.

For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free yogurt and plant-based milk.
