Description

Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese combines crispy, buttery garlic bread with a gooey blend of melted mozzarella and cheddar for the ultimate comfort-food sandwich. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for lunch, a snack, or paired with your favorite soup.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter, softened

1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

4 slices bread

1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley until smooth and well combined.
  2. Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread on a work surface with the buttered side facing down.
  4. Divide the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend evenly between the bread slices.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing up.
  6. Heat a large skillet over low heat.
  7. Cook the sandwiches for 4–5 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 4–5 minutes until the second side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  9. Remove from the skillet and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Use sourdough, Texas toast, white, or whole wheat bread for different textures.

Swap the cheese blend for mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, Monterey Jack, or Swiss.

Add sliced tomatoes, caramelized onions, spinach, jalapeños, or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheat in a skillet over low heat or in an air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3–4 minutes to maintain crispness.

Avoid microwaving if possible, as it softens the bread.

Serve with tomato soup, salad, roasted vegetables, chips, or creamy soup.
