Description

A bright and creamy no-bake dessert that layers delicate ladyfingers with silky lemon mascarpone cream. Fresh lemon juice and zest bring a refreshing citrus flavor balanced by rich, smooth mascarpone.


Ingredients

1 cup heavy cream

8 oz mascarpone cheese

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 package ladyfingers

1 cup milk

Cocoa powder or extra lemon zest, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Beat the heavy cream in a large bowl until soft peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese, sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
  4. Briefly dip the ladyfingers in milk and arrange a layer in a serving dish.
  5. Spread a layer of lemon cream over the ladyfingers.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of lemon cream on top.
  7. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  8. Before serving, garnish with cocoa powder or extra lemon zest.

Notes

Add fresh blueberries or raspberries between the layers for a fruity variation.

Use lemon curd between layers for a more intense lemon flavor.

Replace milk with a light lemon syrup for extra citrus notes.
