Ingredients

1 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)

1/4 cup brewed coffee or 12 shots of espresso

2 tablespoons pumpkin puree

1 tablespoon maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: whipped cream and additional pumpkin pie spice for topping


Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking continuously until the mixture is hot and well combined. Avoid boiling.
  3. Pour the brewed coffee or espresso into a mug, then add the pumpkin-milk mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of additional pumpkin pie spice, if desired.

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, use 2 shots of espresso.
