Ingredients
8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 slices sourdough bread
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons garlic butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked. Set aside.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Place two slices of bread, garlic-buttered side down, onto a preheated skillet or griddle.
- Layer the mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and cooked shrimp evenly over the bread.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, garlic-buttered side facing up.
- Grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese has melted.
- Serve warm with extra garlic butter for dipping if desired.
