Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5–6 fresh mint leaves
Optional: fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, gently warm the heavy cream with the fresh mint leaves over low heat until just about to simmer, avoiding boiling.
- Remove from heat and let the mint steep in the cream for 15-20 minutes to infuse the flavor.
- Strain the cream through a fine mesh sieve to remove mint leaves, then chill the mint-infused cream in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Once chilled, whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Arrange the halved strawberries in serving bowls or plates.
- Spoon or pipe the mint-infused whipped cream over the strawberries.
- Garnish with fresh mint sprigs if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
For different flavor profiles, try infusing the cream with basil or lemon balm instead of mint.
Add a splash of liqueur like Grand Marnier to the cream before whipping for an extra special touch.
For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and omit vanilla extract.
Store leftover whipped cream in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours; re-whip before serving.
