Description
This Tropical Iced Green Tea combines smooth green tea with sweet mango, juicy pineapple, and refreshing coconut water for a light and fruity drink. Served over ice, it is the perfect refreshing beverage for warm days and tropical-inspired gatherings.
Ingredients
2 cups water
2 green tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose leaf green tea
1 teaspoon matcha powder (optional)
1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 cup mango juice or fresh mango
1/2 cup pineapple bits
Ice cubes
1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)
Pineapple slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the water until hot but not boiling. Steep the green tea bags or loose leaf tea for about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the honey or sugar along with the matcha powder if using. Remove the tea bags or strain the loose tea.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature or refrigerate until chilled.
- Blend or juice the mango and pineapple if using fresh fruit.
- Combine the coconut water with the mango and pineapple mixture in a pitcher.
- Fill serving glasses with ice cubes. Pour in the tropical fruit mixture and top with the chilled green tea.
- Garnish with pineapple slices and serve immediately while cold.
Notes
Add sparkling water for a fizzy version of this tropical iced tea.
For a creamier texture, mix in a splash of coconut milk.
Try using passion fruit, peach, or kiwi for different fruity flavors.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and stir before serving.
