Description

This versatile all-purpose dough is soft, fluffy, and perfect for creating a variety of baked favorites including pizza crust, dinner rolls, bread, and cinnamon rolls. Made with simple pantry ingredients, it delivers reliable and delicious results every time.


Ingredients

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups warm milk or water

2 tbsp sugar

2 1/4 tsp instant yeast

1 1/2 tsp salt

3 tbsp oil


Instructions

  1. Combine the warm milk or water, sugar, and instant yeast in a large mixing bowl. Let the mixture sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add the flour, salt, and oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl and place it in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until the dough doubles in size.
  4. Shape the dough as desired for pizza crust, dinner rolls, bread, or cinnamon rolls. Let the shaped dough rise again for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  6. Bake until golden brown. Bake pizza for 15–20 minutes, dinner rolls for 18–22 minutes, bread loaves for 25–30 minutes, and cinnamon rolls for 20–25 minutes.

Notes

Add garlic powder and Italian herbs for flavorful pizza dough.

For sweeter recipes, mix in extra sugar and vanilla extract.

Add shredded cheese or chopped herbs for savory rolls.

Replace part of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a heartier texture.
