Description

This One Pan Skillet Lasagna delivers all the comforting flavors of classic lasagna in a quick, easy one-skillet meal. Rich meat sauce, tender pasta, creamy ricotta, and melted mozzarella make it perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 pound Italian sausage

1/2 cup yellow onion, diced

1 tablespoon tomato paste

24 ounces pasta sauce

3 cups beef broth

1 teaspoon beef bouillon powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

7 lasagna sheets, broken into pieces

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, Italian sausage, and diced onion. Cook until the meat is browned and no pink remains, then drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the pasta sauce, beef broth, beef bouillon powder, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add the broken lasagna sheets, pressing them into the sauce. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  5. Stir in the ricotta cheese until smooth and fully incorporated.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
  7. Transfer the skillet to a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

Substitute ground turkey or ground chicken for a lighter version.

Add spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, or bell peppers for extra vegetables.

Use spicy Italian sausage or crushed red pepper flakes for added heat.

Top with Parmesan or provolone for extra cheesy flavor.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

Reheat with a splash of beef broth or water if the sauce becomes too thick.
